House Rules

We know you read these when you booked....just a little refresher!
  1. Please let us know your estimated time of arrival and departure and keep us updated.
  2. Only registered guests are allowed on property. If you want to have guests join you, please arrange with us.
  3. Please be aware that although we have taken steps to insulate, sound carries between the ground and upper floors. Please observe quiet during the hours of 11 pm until 7 am.
  4. This is a non-smoking household. Please do not vape or smoke on our property.
  5. Load the dishwasher and run upon your departure. Please wipe down counters and wipe up spills on floor. Thank you for not leaving food in refrigerator when you go home.
  6. A surefire way to disrupt an enjoyable stay is a plumbing problem! Toilet paper only in toilet, please. There are brown bags in cabinet for disposal of sanitary and other personal items, before placing in trash can.
  7. Deposit trash in black bins. Let’s do our part and place recycling in green/yellow recycling bin. It does not need to be separated; the company does that for us.
  8. Guests will have the use of one lane off-street parking space. This can generally fit two vehicles.
  9. Bicycles and beach items are available for you to use. Please be considerate and return them to the shed in the place you found them. Please take time to rinse boogie boards and beach toys before returning to the shed. Extra sand piles up!
  10. You are very welcome to use the backyard fire pit. Please make sure to douse ashes with sufficient water when you are finished so we can all stay safe. Replace the lid on the fire pit as well.
  11. Please take your possessions home! Double check; pull back sheets and look under bed. Do you have your towels, wallets, etc?
  12. The ocean is beautiful but also very powerful. Please make sure to swim near a lifeguard. Yellow and red flags are there to keep you safe. Please stay out of the water if either are posted.
  13. We live in a beautiful place that is unfortunately susceptible to hurricanes. If a storm approaches during your stay, please follow directions of our local authorities. If mandatory evacuation is called for visitors, we expect that you will promptly leave. Evacuation is never convenient but we want everyone to be as safe as possible.
